Leira Perez

My name is Leira Perez. I am 17 years old and a junior at the Enlightenment School. I have had a lot of great experiences in this school. One of the best experiences was working with The Worx Group. I learned how to build a website. This program has helped me out in a lot of different ways. I enjoyed learning about html, that was fun. Now, back to the school, before I came to Enlightenment, I heard a lot of negative things about it. They are all lies. This school, to me, is a second chance, or a second hope.

Enlightenment has helped me out in a lot of ways. Even though I am in this alternative school for my behavior, in the past, this school has helped me change my behavior and boost my self-confidence.

In Enlightenment, I get to be in a talented music class and theater group, where we worked with the Shakesperience group. I also got to be in the Worx Group program, which was great.

Angela Cruz

My name is Angela Cruz. I'm a freshman at the Enlightenment School. I really enjoyed working with The Worx Group. It was really fun and a great experience. This site helps people understand how the Enlightenment School works. The students get a second chance to do better.

My future goals are to graduate and become a teacher. Not just any teacher, but I would love to help kids in the Alternative Programs.

Trenton James

My name is Trenton James. I'm 18 and a senior at the Enlightenment School. I want to do anything with art, maybe a tattoo artist or someday have my own clothing line. I enjoyed my experience at Enlightenment. I learned a lot of different things, and improved my behavior and attendance.

At The Worx Group, I learned more about computers, web design and how a business is operated.

Asia Dickerson

My name is Asia Dickerson, I was born and raised in New Haven. I am 15 years old and in 8th grade. I attend the Enlightenment School. Next year I plan to attend Kaynor Tech High School. I'd like to pursue a career in music, because I enjoy drumming. I have been a drummer since I was 6.

I enjoyed working with The Worx Group because they donated a free website to our school. They are very nice, not just for helping us, but for not judging us on why we are attending an alternative school.

Sam McCandless

My name is Sam McCandless, I am 17 and a junior at Enlightenment School. My career choice is computer repair and programming. I enjoyed my experience at The Worx Group where I learned more about programming and html.

Shawna Brooks

My name is Shawna Brooks, I am 13 years old and in 7th grade at Enlightenment. Our school could be great, but it's in need of funding for some basic repairs and supplies. My goals are to further my education. I enjoyed my experience at The Worx Group, learning about web design was interesting.
